Hi All,
How can NetSuite eCommerce customers take advantage of Facebook apps? We are in the works of some cool widgets and apps for Facebook. After our successful launch of the Wish List app, having the ability of creating an Wishlist app for Facebook, for each NetSuite online retailer was going to to be the next step. It has to be done exclusively for NetSuite stores because of the way Facebook apps have to be built. You may have seen other wish lists but they wont work on any site.
You, retailer, will offer the app on your site, and then on each item of the store, your customers will have the ability to add any item(s) to their Facebook Wish List app. Sounds cool?
After they added it, you know what happens next. It may end up on more than 1000+ friends of friends profiles. Amazingggg! Get Viral!
There are some technical requirements, and based on some tests, the apps will only work on sites that are developed by SuiteCommerce. We use a very exclusive standard and process when developing.
The F8 (Facebook) Platform is a great opportunity for any online retailer, but of course it works best for etailers with the resources to do so. I’m excited to see what other applications beside social wishlisting will pop up in the days ahead. Social bookmarking sites Ma.gnolia and Del.icio.us have already built apps for Facebook. I predict social shopping bookmark sites like ThisNext, Kaboodle and Wists will follow suit very soon.
Please comment about other ideas you may have with Facebook and your NetSuite store!
